ValidationWorks is a easy to use OCSP client that uses Microsofts Crypto API to enable real time certificate status validation for most certificate handling Crypto API-enabled applications.Fact is that certificate validation is a very important point in secure use of certificates. Trusting a certificate without checking its status is very insecure.

ValidationWorks enables certificate handling applications like Microsoft Internet Explorer and Microsoft Outlook tovalidate certificates with OCSP automised and in real-time.
Additionally to status validation, ValidationWorks supports trustworthiness information of certificates. If the corresponding OCSP responder (e.g. OpenValidation.org OCSP responder service) delivers information about the trustworthiness of the validated certificate within its validation response, this information could be considered in status information displayed to the user.

ValidationWorks is designed and configurable to correspond with every validation authority (OCSP responder) and to display the provided status and trustworthiness level of the certificate in easy to understand form to the user. It is also possible to configure ValidationWorks to give pre-configured status information for certain certificates (e.g. mark a certain certificate as revoked by local configuration).

ValidationWorks brings the advantages of OCSP to supported (Microsoft) applications and is therefore an important part in securing email communication and transmission of information.
