SwissSign

SwissSign not only offers free certificates for private use, but also provides an attractive model for high-quality certificates for commercial purposes to its customers around the world. SwissSign is a very active and competent player in the global PKI market - and has a big sympathy for the ideas of Open Source and Open Information. SwissSign also is a high-tech software firm building applications which use digital identities.

   

IDX-PKI

IDX-PKI is an Open Source implementation of a Public Key Infrastructure which aims to be IETF compliant for PKIX recommandations. Currently under development, IDX-PKI may already be used and is suitable for commercial use.

   

TERENA's PKI Coordination

The purpose of the TERENA's PKI Coordination activity is to encourage and support the cooperation between NRENs in Europe in area of PKI services deployment.This page provides up-to-date information on existing PKI projects in Europe, links to information on PKI issues, Tools and Software for CA and PKI, documents and events.

Phaos

The Phaos Centuris PKI Platform provides developers with powerful, leading tools for developing PKI-enabled applications in just a few lines of code. The Centuris PKI Platform supports numerous open standards and specifications including PKIX from the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) and Public Key Cryptography Standards (PKCS). EuropePKI

EuropePKI is a project which implements a free open source PKI for transparency, with appraise of partners all implied in setting up or use of PKI and professionalism of industrial methods. At last, EuropePKI is supported by an Information Technology Security Evaluation Facility - ITSEF - as a proof of its reliability.
EuropePKI Project has begun on 1st April 2002 and is planned to finish on 30th November 2003.

   

OpenCA

The OpenCA Project, is an open organization aimed to provide a framework for PKI sudying and development of related projects. As the PKIs standards, interests and projects are growing fast, its been decided to split the original project into smaller ones (see below) to speed up and reorganize efforts.

PKI Development
The OpenCA PKI Development Project is a collaborative effort to develop a robust, full-featured and Open Source out-of-the-box Certification Authority implementing the most used protocols with full-strength cryptography world-wide.

OCSP Responder
The OpenCA OCSP responder project is aimed to the development of an HTTP based OCSP respoder. One of the main goal is to have it integrated with the OpenCA PKI structure. It is mostly based on the OpenSSL library providing the crypto layer for the responder.
